In 3D Studio Max 2012 the colors of the default interface can be confusing to use the same color for toolbars, viewers and the separation between them.
1. Open the Customize menu
2. Click on the section Custom UI and Default Switcher ...
3. In the next window will have two tables with several options. In that of the left-side tool
called Initial settings for options choose the option Max. In the right one can choose the
different interfaces available.
